Youth baseball team forming

The Adirondack Wildcats, a 14-and-under travel baseball team, is now recruiting 13- and 14-year-old players to join the team for the 2013 spring and summer season. Plans call for the team to play 25 games in the Eastern NY Travel Baseball League from Memorial Day through mid-July. It is anticipated that play will continue in a national post-season tournament.

The team plays and practices in the Glens Falls area, and is open to any player in Warren, Washington or Saratoga counties.

Indoor practices start in February, outdoor sessions in April. The season is designed to not conflict with middle school Modified baseball practices and games.

The Wildcats’ organizers are stressing a positive, winning attitude that emphasizes team play and respect for the game, coaches, umpires and fellow players, team representatives said. Plans call for not only developing basic skills, but to encourage strategic play. For details, contact Coach Jerry Ryan at 932-1566.
